Every metric in Veyro stands on established concepts from sports and sleep science. We show them here — openly, with sources, without giving away our recipe.

The concepts behind the metrics

Personal baseline instead of norm tables

Your HRV is comparable to nobody but yourself. Veyro compares every night against your own corridor from recent weeks — as HRV research has recommended since the Task Force standards.

Sleep stages by established classification

Awake, light, deep and REM sleep follow the classification used in sleep medicine (AASM). Your sleep need is recalculated daily — baseline plus strain plus sleep debt.

Strain from training science

The strain scale builds on heart-rate-reserve models (Karvonen, TRIMP); training guidance uses the ratio of acute to chronic load — qualitatively, as sports science describes it.

Chronobiology taken seriously

Chronotype and social jetlag follow the concepts of chronobiology (MCTQ, Roenneberg); your inner clock is estimated from your real rhythms — right on the device.

Nutrition anchored in indices

Food quality is anchored in established dietary indices such as the AHEI — food groups instead of calorie counting.

Our methodology

Every statement in Veyro goes through the same process:

Every core statement is written down explicitly — including the numbers.

Research

We look for primary sources: guidelines, meta-analyses, large cohort studies.

Counter-research

Then we actively try to refute the claim — adversarial, not confirmatory.

Verdict & correction

Supported, uncertain or untenable: only supported claims stay; uncertain ones get softened or cut.

What a wearable cannot do

Single days are noisy, baselines need nights of data, and no algorithm replaces medical diagnostics. Veyro would rather show no value than a wrong one — and tells you openly where the limits are.
